Students struggle with a lot of problems in school. These problems can range from being unable to understand Math problems or not going along with their classmates. Whatever the problem is, it impacts the student’s overall academic performance drastically.  Hence, identifying these problems is important for their effective resolution. Moreover, empowering the student to identify and solve the problems by themselves is also important. Here are the main problems students face in school. Disorganization Some students feel difficulty in staying organized. Be it preparing notes or focusing on the class lectures, they cannot perform these tasks properly. Mental health problems can affect a student's energy level, concentration, dependability, mental ability, and optimism, hindering performance.   Research suggests that depression is associated with lower grade point averages and that co-occurring depression and anxiety can increase this association.   Depression has also been linked to dropping out of school. Many college students report that mental health difficulties interfere with their studies. On the American College Health Association 2015 survey, college students identified the following mental health issues as negatively impacting their academic performance within the last 12 months: Stress (30% of students) Anxiety (22%) Sleep difficulties (20%) Depression (14%)

Without enough sleep, children and teens can have problems with attention, memory, and problem-solving. Sleep deprivation can also contribute to emotional issues and behavior problems that may affect academic achievement. Making sleep a priority is important for parents who want their children to succeed in school. Understanding the causes and consequences of poor sleep and knowing how to address it can allow parents to help children and teens in their academic pursuits. Sleep is fundamental to health for children of all ages, including adolescents; however, sleeping problems and their effects on school performance can change based on age. Most notably, teenagers face unique sleep challenges that can give rise to difficulties in school. A major problem that confronts adolescents is a  biological change to their sleep timing  that begins around the start of puberty.
